There are many great bands out there, a lot have great front men, such as Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden, Rob Halford of Judas Priest, Ronnie James Dio and more. But who is your favorite and why?

Maynard is fucking awesome but I choose Phil Anselmo nobody works a crowd like the kid!

Simen Hestnæs a.k.a ICS Vortex. The man is a brilliant vocalist and while he continues to blow the audience away with his Seraphim voice, he manages to play an instrument alongside it...in all the bands he's been in.

Even when he was backup in Dimmu, when he would add in with Shagrath to create that kind of epic battle between light and darkness it was like a freaking eargasm.

I'm going to have to go with Chance Garnette of Skeletonwitch! I was fortunate to see them live for the first time last year and it was incredible. The venue was small and intimate no guard rails dividing you from the band. Chance worked the stage like a man possessed and put a spell over all those in attendance. Can't wait to see them again down the road. Close second would be Travis Ryan of Cattle Decapitation! That was another insane show. Small very intimate. Travis was inches from my face!

Johann hegg
Shagrat
Gaahl

Ronnie James Dio, Freddie Mercury, Jimi Hendrix, Rob Halford, Ozzy Osbourne, Phil Anselmo, Zakk Wylde in that order, and if we can count Freddie and Jimi of course \m/ Long live rock'n'roll!

It changes all the time but at the moment its the bloke from goatwhore

Couldn't agree more Headtrip, saw them at summer slaughter in 2011 and his stage presence was perfect. Very entertaining set, and to top it off, they signed merch afterwards and talked to the fans for quite some time. A real bands band. Showmanship, musicianship, class, and love for the fans.

^Sorry bout that guys, it was actually *2012*
I had the same experience! He delivered perfectly on stage on all fronts a real representation of everything I expect from a frontman and again off stage very curtious and respectful to fans had great banta with him and general metal conversation

oh this is hard one for me, but if i had too put my finger on one or two Bruce Dickerson and ozzy, this is going on who ive seen live btw,
