The standard of most commonly used instruments in the history of creating metal music usually consist of three basic instruments: the guitar, bass, and drums. I will leave out vocals for now and save it for a different topic on a another day.
I believed using those three is enough to create sounding material. Every time I'm introduced a new metal band that has other instruments embedded into their songs, for instance, a electronic keyboard or some foreign flute, my interest usually fades away after awhile. I just love the pure sounds of those combinations maybe that is because I'm old school.

Keyboards can be very annoying at times to me...I do love just the bass, guitar and drums that were mentioned in this blog..keeping it simple is a lot more awesome...

Music is obscure and a challenge

Pallbearer has a few extra bits and pieces, that just adds to the mood of each song tho, shit like that is great, when korn (who i dont care much for anyway) put dubstep in an album that felt forced and "hip"

I"ll like it if it doesn't take precedent over the other instruments or overbearing throughout the music.I guess it works for any dark music that's slow in a way.

I like some keyboards if it goes for a dark sound say like argar and adversam and a blend of blasts or a slow tempo with double or triplets, it can give it the unique sound of obscurity. Chances are the sound chances up everytime.

Too many chefs with too many ingredients. I like simplicity.

Adding more instrumens can always be tricky, it can add to a song or just seem like a gimmick. To many chefs as they say
